Community Status Updates
Just connected a micro RC servo to a set of N-guage points (turnout). Controlled by Netduino of course.
Spent all afternoon making a UDP receive class that does not mind if the Ethernet port is not active when the software starts up. I have to keep reminding myself - its a hobby, I enjoy this.
if i can find audio codec libraries in C#, my next #netduino hardware project will involve a WIFI data link using the WiFly #09954 to create a home-made WIFI radio with 4x20 LCD, a small MOSFET amp. Instead of making an interface to configure the tcp stack and WIFI security, I will have the device read those settings from a config file on removable storage SD card.
I now have split my buggy between two Netduinos. One drives the motors and reads the sensors, the other displays the status on a LED array. The buggy sends UDP packets to the display Netduino to indicate the current status.
My buggy is now using v4.2 on a Netduino Plus v1. At last! Took a while to sort out the v4.1 code to make it work with v4.2 (this was why I held out for so long). Now I just need to make the Ethernet do something useful!
