Hi,

Has anyone been lucky enough to process the values from a 6 Degrees of
Freedom (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10121) IMU, so that the resulting
values are actually stable?

I managed to process readings from it, but it almost immediately starts to
drift. For instance, if you turn the sensor to the right, you can see the
correct values coming in, but then almost immediately it start levelling again
to show that the sensor is 90 degrees, although the sensor is actually still at
an angle.

Regards

J

from what devie on it you read your values?

the gyroscope only tell you the degrees per seconds that its currently turned. so when no movement = no value

the accelerometer tells you its current oriantation (so when reading this you know its angles) and maybe more (i only used it for that: http://www.werkzeugz...017000266_1.jpg - just in digital form)

@Noom. Both sensors. In order to get accurate values, you need to combine the readings of both sensors.
