Hi Peter,At every supplier in North America and Europe, Netduino is out of stock.
Is this a supplier side problem?
Will they be available again in the near future?
I really want to get started asap working with the Netduino, esp. because I don't like the programming tools that I have to use to program an Arduino. (OK, OK, Iam just not very proficient in C).
Welcome to the Netduino community, and thanks for your enthusiasm!
It's the holiday season, and Netduinos are indeed selling fast. A few international resellers (Netram in South Africa, Little Bird Electronics in Australia, SWITCH-SCIENCE in Japan, HW Kitchen in Czech Republic) have them in stock but most resellers are out temporarily.
The stock issues are due to shortages of Atmel's ARM microcontrollers. We've been working with Atmel on the issue and we think we have it sorted out now--but it still takes a few weeks to get chips to the assembly house, boards built, three rounds of testing completed, etc.
The good news is that we've made more Netduinos, Netduino Pluses, and Netduino Minis for the holidays. And we're going to continue making more throughout the month of December (some for the holidays, some for January). The first Netduino Plus pre-orders will be shipping this Tuesday, and we hope to have lots of Netduinos and Netduino Pluses out to resellers in early-to-mid-December.
My best recommendations are: [a] get a Netduino/Netduino Plus on backorder; [b] order from one of the international resellers; [c] try out the new Netduino Mini--which is in stock worldwide.

Where can one backorder a Netduino Plus in the US?
Proto-Advantage just ran out of their initial stock allocation (so they've stopped accepting backorders for the week).
By next week, you will be able to order/backorder one from a US-based reseller. Stay tuned, and ask here again if you'd like an update... We're shipping Netduino Pluses to resellers today.

I bought my Netduino Plus earlier from Proto Advantage. Fast shipment (once it came off backorder) and good prices for the US (where I live).

Have you actually tried checking out? It doesn't work for me. Doesn't seem like they are taking any more orders atm.

Same problem here, I tried yesterday and today. It lets you add it to cart, but will not let you checkout because the item is no stock.
