A little bit of what I want to do:
- LCARS Interface in each room
- LCARS "tablet" is linked to each room
- Voice commands to control room features (lighting, fans, temperature, etc)
- One room with a pneumatic door with an LCARS PIN pad to open.
The primary automation in each room will be run from an application running on a Windows 7/8 tablet mounted on a wall in each room. The system will have a "central control" web interface that can control any device using a Z-Wave network.
Here are a couple mock ups of the web interface I am making for my home automation system. These panels have no functionality, they are just the UI. This is written completely in CSS3, HTML5, and C#.
The first thing I am going to tackle is the LCARS PIN pad since I think it will be hardest. I am going to do this using a Netduino GO and a touchscreen module from Nwazet.
