I am trying to implement HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse - but cannot get access to them, even by calling System.Net directly. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

Could you please share some more details, for example the code you're using and what's going wrong? Do you get an error message for example?

Have you added the System.Http.dll assembly to your project (as a reference)?

This confused me too,
The System.Net namespace being in a least two separate dlls, meaning you don't get the usual missing namespace error.
