Best regards, Beastyboy Van SchOten Ict Diensten en Services #2Posted 01 December 2015 - 09:27 PM Chris perhaps gone into hiding? With numerous FTC and state consumer protection bureau complaints filed for the Agent "Smart" watch, it seems like Chris had also removed his contact info on this site if not changed his contact email and number entirely.
There's also a court date from one backer set for next week. Many are awaiting the result of that to launch a class action lawsuit against him.
He certainly needs to post better updates and engage the backers on Kickstarter even if you think he is innocent of fraud. #3Posted 02 December 2015 - 07:48 AM
Daniel, "So long and thanks for all the fish" on a other website, (you know what i am talking about) is a statement from me, I wrote it in a PM with Chris in the goodbay letter to Collin Miller. Do not let you lead with conspiracy theories and stay by the facts.
here is the post: Colin, thank you so much for your contribution all those years. For me personally it’s a sad day to see you go. Spend your free time well and go a lot fishing. JoopC Netherlands , big fan of Netduino http://blogs.msdn.co...-the-guard.aspx #4Posted 02 December 2015 - 02:43 PM
JoopC, Daniel is referring to the following reply (#3) by Chris Walker:

It´s really sad if the Agent Smart watch would kill the Netduino #7Posted 15 January 2016 - 02:48 AM Help us hold Chris Accountable for his actions regarding the Agent watch.
If you are a backer of the AGENT smartwatch, or you just care about accountability in crowd-funded projects, We call on you to support this fundedjustice effort in whatever amount you can so that this and future crowd-funded projects know with certainty that they must be accountable to their backers or suffer meaningful consequences.

also here: Post your frustrated American garbage somerwhere else. This is a Netduino forum for enthusiastic Netduino users. #9Posted 15 January 2016 - 04:50 PM Let me educate you JoopC since you seem to have an IQ of 50. Chris Walker who is the Owner and CEO of Secret Labs (you know, the company that makes the Netduino as well as the Agent Watch) posted a kickstarter campaign and raised over 1 million us dollars to build the agent watch. Now 3 years later he has never made the product. He promised refunds to those who didn't want the watch anymore (if they ever make it) in the form of other parts such as Netduino parts (see the connection?).
Chris is a thief. He likely used the 1 million dollars to make the Netduino 3 which you are likely playing with right now (just my opinion. No proof of this).
So this crown funding campaign is to raise the legal fees to get the 1 million back from Chris Walker and Secret Labs (the maker of the Netduino... get the connection yet?).
So before you start trashing America and Defending someone who has possibly committed a crime of theft, you may want to do your research. #10Posted 15 January 2016 - 06:21 PM

I agree, I've tried the a Pi with mono once, but having to boot (and especially neatly shutdown) in order to have it working consistently are disadvantages that the NetDuino's don't have.
Only wish they would get cheaper, I hope the Agent project is not keeping the price of Netduino's up, but it would not surprise me.
I'm still hoping to get a 2nd hand Agent watch when it finally comes out. Can't really afford one without a concrete purpose though.
The thing I really dislike is the stupid suing attitude of backers. Intelligent people should know that lawyers are the only group that will benefit from such actions. Failure is not a crime, and I think the community should rather help Chris to accomplish whatever is possible rather than trying to crush his morale and steal his time with stupid lawsuits. I guess he has probably added more funds to the project than the million originally picked up with crowd funding, and that is the opposite of stealing in my book. #13Posted 24 January 2016 - 11:06 PM I've moved exclusively to Arduinos and Raspberry Pis. Running Windows 10 IOT on the Pis. There are so many shortfalls to the Netduino (Chris Walker and lack of support aside). I've gotten so much more accomplished working elusively with Arduinos and Raspberry Pis on all my projects. I've even got a few Particle Photons in the works now. #14Posted 25 January 2016 - 06:17 AM I'm with misomers on he start up front with the Raspberry Pis, nothing like ruining your day with a corrupt file system.
Netduinos are great for prototyping and for some projects are the right choice for the final release, love those mini's, easy to embed. There is no doubt that they do have some drawbacks, most noticeably speed and that's where another board is useful.
The Photons look nice, I've got a couple of Oaks which use the same development environment. I've not managed to do anything serious with either at the moment.
One board I will be interesting to receive is the Redbear Duo (BLE and WiFi).
I feel a lot of IoT in my future...
