I recently purchased a Netduino Plus. I installed Visual Studio 2010 on my HP desktop and the Netduino functioned perfectly. Unfortunately, after installing the same version of Visual Studio on my ASUS laptop the Netduino is not listed when I change the transport mode to USB. I have tried unplugging and replugging the Netduino with no effect. I have removed and subsequently reinstalled Visual Studio, the .net Micro framework, and the Netduino SDK without sucess. I have been unable to find a solution depite a relatively thorough web search. Please help me with this problem, thank you.

Hi olli,
Are you running 32-bit Windows or 64-bit Windows?
Also, if you open Device Manager and look in the "USB" devices...do you see Netduino? Does it have a question mark next to it? If you right-click and select "reinstall drivers" does that work?

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your prompt reply. I have 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate installed on each machine. On the ACER, the Netduino is listed under USB Controlers and is listed as functioning. Updating the driver has no effect.
Thanks,
Olli

Hi olli,
Can you post a note for this on the forums over at www.netmf.com? It sounds like an issue with the .NET MF SDK.
If you can take a few snapshots of MFDeploy and Device Manager, showing the device working but not showing up in MFDeploy...I can contact Microsoft and try to identify a solution.
In the meantime, can you use serial deployment or the HP instead?
Thank you,
Chris
