Hey thanks Gorf,
I guess the module IS bad because your app responds like mine...no error and no action.
Thanks so much

#1Posted 22 March 2014 - 07:02 PM Hi Chris,
I am trying to do a demo for my students using Omar's sample of the RGBLed. I am using VS 2010, netfw 4.2 and the board is using 4.2 also. Deploys fine but no response from led. Changed cables, no help.
Do I have to update the Go board to 4.2.2?
Thanks so much

Hi Hobbit,
Running the latest firmware is typically always a good idea. That said...can you share the code you're using? And tell us which line of code is stopping the program in its tracks, what error you get, etc.? Chris #3Posted 25 March 2014 - 05:30 PM Hi Chris,
Attached is the code. It does not create any error, the led just does not light up. I hope the module is OK, I only have one at the moment...

Santiago Canyon College Orange, CA #4Posted 25 March 2014 - 08:35 PM Do you have VB 2010 installed?
Try the attached project (unzip it to your VS2010\Projects folder. it's working for me. Just spent a day on my NDgo after a year of it sitting in a box unused. It's not necessarily the best coding, but it works for its intended purpose...
Make sure that on the project page references tab, there is a reference to Netduinogo.RgbLed
At least this way you'll know if your LED is working

Hi Hobbit,
Do you have the RGB LED module plugged into port 8? Please try moving it to another port, and updating the "new NetduinoGo.RgbLed" constructor with the new port #. We test each module before shipping them out, but it is possible for things to get damaged or more rarely for defective parts to become bad in-field. We'd be interested in swapping you for another RGB LED module--if the above doesn't fix the issue for you--to figure out what went wrong.
